We consider Acorn as part of the Greensboro Community and contribute time and money to local charities. Habitat for Humanity, Hospice, American Cancer Society, Red Cross, Juvenile Diabetes, Amy’s House, and The Cerebral Palsy Foundation are some of the organizations that we support.
Our team also includes our sub-contractors. We have worked with most of them for more than 20 years. Their handiwork and high quality have been instrumental in the Acorn reputation and success.

| The other part of the team is you, the client. Through good communication and design work, we make every effort to fulfill your dreams within the scope of your budget. |
Green Building
“Green Building” is popular now, but at Acorn we have been endorsing and implementing green building for 30 years. Quality construction, enhanced insulation, high efficiency HVAC, water saving features, energy efficient lighting, improved ventilation, low-flow toilets, low or no VOC paints, and tankless water heaters are all ways you can feel good about your project and the effect on the earth.
We are also interested in “aging in place” and “universal design.” As people age, their needs change. It makes sense to plan a project, taking into consideration the clients’ special needs and accommodations for the future. |
